This Christmas I asked for an SLR camera from my parents; as I am at university in North Wales in the Snowdonia area, the scenery is rather spectacular. As a starter to my photography skills, I got a Fuji S1500 compact SLR. So my boyfriend and I have been fiddling with the settings and lights and Christmas decorations to see what we can get out of the camera. And needless to say it's fantastic. Although the photo to the side was taken on the auto set function there are some awesome photos in my baby portfolio.
I've been looking into going into some kind of journalism in my future career, and maybe this could be another level to explore; photojournalism. So, hopefully, as the days go by I'll get some more inspiration as to what to write about with the help of my new camera.
