After a hectic first few weeks of 2013, I'm handing in my assignments and jumping back into my sports bra and trainers.
Today (20/1/2013) I weighed 13st 6.5lbs (188lbs/85.3kg).
My BMI is 27.3 according to BBC BMI calculator.
I am 5ft 9in and have an underactive thyroid.
I aim to be healthy and fit. I don't know what weight is what dress size, and I don't really care. If I get to a comfortable size 12 (UK) I'm happy.
A healthy BMI for my height is 10st 3lbs = 20.8 BMI.
So I have 3st and 3.5lbs to lose.
With healthy eating and gym sessions and walking my dog, I aim to have this done by the beginning of 2014, but before then would be excellent!
I want to be healthy and fit for life, this isn't just a phase.

Idris the Dragon, Jones the Steam
Trains. Some people love them, some people hate them; hate the public transport system, the over pricing and the service: we all know British trains are ALWAYS late.
But are they all that horrible?
Over the last few weeks, I have racked up over 9 hours of rail time, and loved every second of it.
Not a single train was late.
And I got super cheap prices too!

Real Winter Breakfast
Good morning all,
I am currently tucked up on my bed with cushions and blankets all around to keep the warmth of the night in.
I have just finished my very delicious breakfast of real porridge:
3/4's cup of Traditionally Rolled Oats (Scotts Oats are my favourite),
1 cup of milk,

Crazy Things At Uni
Reverting back to my studenty side, last weekend my boyfriend and I decided to make vodka gummy bears after a recipe I'd seen online recently (see below).
We bought a bag of Haribo Gold Bears and the Smirnoff that was on special offer.

- Empty bag of bears into bowl.
- Pour vodka over to completely submerge them.
- Leave for about 24 hours, until all the liquid is gone.
The bears will puff up and some may be a bit harder than normal in the middle, but they are great.
WARNING: They will disappear very quickly! (And you'll be drunk but that doesn't really matter!)

Beginning of the Cold Season
I just love the cold seasons. Whistling winds blowing the remaining maroon and golden leaves under my toes, sunsets at dinner time and the Clementine and rose flavoured clouds on the horizon. Thick tights, layering jumpers and sweaters, scarves and hats. They all are the signals of the best time of the year to come.
I've been looking up Winter recipes with root vegetables and spices and stocks. This is the season when my slow cooker earns it's keep.

Harvest Festival
Today I have read The Independent, and in the magazine supplement a young lady was commenting on the Harvest Festival.
I haven't celebrated the Harvest Equinox since Primary School and on reading the article, I realised what a shame that is.
